The Whale Trail is one of South Africa's iconic trails, with bookings opening a year in advance. Situated in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, the is operated by Cape Nature. The route starts with a trek up the Posberg Ridge, with the first two days inland and the last three days along the coast. Whale sighting are frequent between July and November and dolphins throughout the year. The trail accommodates 12 people and can be done either 'Slackpacking' style or backpacking. We offer it as an exclusive fully catered, guided 'slackpacking' trail, with a minimum of six people and a maximum of ten.
